Trinity Classical Irish

Trinity Classical Irish

The music of Irish folklore and its lyrics were passed orally from generation to generation, largely maintaining their traditional aspects while also influencing many contemporary musical forms. Three talented young Irish singers, with extensive experience in spreading the traditional songbook of their homeland through performances around the world, make up the group Trinity, the protagonist of this captivating concert. These three magnificent voices tackle a program comprised of some of the most famous and beloved Irish songs, accompanied on stage by a 36-piece orchestra, the Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Andrew Kurtz. While it is virtually impossible to trace the origins of the bulk of these melodies, most are of rural origin, taking the form of traditional dances. Delightful orchestral arrangements give this repertoire a different dimension, turning this great evening into an authentic musical postcard of Ireland.
